Occupational Therapist - $7,500 Sign on Bonus!
The staff Occupational Therapist coordinates the occupational therapy care for a patient population of primarily adult and geriatric persons who are acutely ill and have medically complex needs which result in mobility and activities of daily living deficits. The Occupational Therapist will also have the following daily responsibilities:
? Accurately assesses patients' needs
? Identifies and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions
? Provides patient and family teaching
? Works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional occupational therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Candidates must have current Texas licensure, one year acute care hospital experience and CPR certification.
Certified Occupational Therapists - $5,000 Sign on Bonus!
The COTA will coordinate the occupational therapy care for a patient population of primarily adult and geriatric persons who are acutely ill and have medically complex needs which result in deficits of mobility and daily living activities. Primary responsibilities include:
? Accurately assess patient needs
? Identify and initiate appropriate occupational therapy interventions
? Provide patient and family teaching
? Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide timely, safe and cost effective treatment to achieve optimal functional outcomes
? Participate in performance improvement and program development activities
? Follow hospital guidelines and policy
Candidates must be a graduate of a School of Occupational Therapy with current licensure in the state of TX and BLS. . Hospital experience is preferred, acute care experience necessary.
Speech Language Pathologist
The SLP will coordinate the Speech/Language Pathology care for the patient population of primarily adult and geriatric persons who are acutely ill and have medically complex needs which result in deficits of mobility and activities of daily living. Responsibilities include:
? Accurately assess patient needs
? Identify and initiate appropriate speech/language pathology interventions
? Provide patient and family education
? Work cooperatively with other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional speech/language pathology practice and interdisciplinary teamwork
? Participate in performance improvement and program development
? Participate in the hospital budgetary planning process and contribute to the goal to establish cost effective services and programs
? Perform according to Hospital policy, mission statement, performance improvement plan, and philosophy of the Therapy Department and maintain positive relations with stakeholders
Must have current Texas licensure and ASHA and BLS certification; One year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. Good judgment and interpersonal skills are essential.

We are seeking an Occupation Therapist who has or can obtain a Virginia license to run a two week Self-Help Skills Camp and a two week Independent Living Skills Camp. Two and four week applicants will be considered.
Room and meals included in addition to pay. There may also be an opportunity for family members to stay at camp as well.

Required Qualifications:
Must have successfully completed a degree program culminating with the confirming of a BA/BS with a degree/certification in Occupational Therapy from an approved school; a valid state license or valid temporary permit as an Occupational Therapist issued by the State Occupational Therapy Licensing Board. If performing home visits, must have own automobile in safe, working order and must be able to drive a car in a variety of weather conditions and road surfaces; must have valid Oregon driver's license and show documentation of current vehicle insurance per policy; and may be subject to varying and unpredictable environments.
